Range Rover has confirmed a fifth model line, the Range Rover GT, and released initial details of the vehicle.
The company said the model will be its first fully electric Range Rover built on the new EMA platform.

Production is set to take place at Halewood in the UK, where the vehicle will be made alongside internal combustion engine and hybrid models.
At launch, the Range Rover GT will be offered as a battery electric vehicle.
Range Rover said a full hybrid electric vehicle option is planned for later in the model’s lifecycle.
The company also provided a first look at the interior. It said the cabin follows the same simplified design approach as the exterior, with an emphasis on “purity, precision and quiet modernity”.
The interior features a single-screen layout and a driver display instead of a traditional instrument cluster.
A concealed air vent runs across the width of the cabin, continuing a horizontal design element associated with the brand.
Range Rover said woven textile is used across the dashboard, with the material also designed to conceal speakers.
According to the company, the interior has been developed to reduce visual and acoustic distraction and to allow access to a broader range of vehicle functions.
Prototype vehicles are now in final on-road testing.
They are using a camouflage wrap developed by the company’s in-house creative teams.
Range Rover said the wrap draws on the landscape around Gaydon, where its creative and engineering teams are based.
More details on the Range Rover GT are due later this year.
Range Rover managing director Martin Limpert said: “The Range Rover GT will redefine the grand‑touring segment with the ability to deliver beautiful and engaging GT poise, proportions and long‑distance refinement while offering capabilities no conventional GT can match.
“The result is the most car‑like, yet unmistakably capable, Range Rover ever created, now possible on our electrified EMA architecture – complementing our existing powertrain portfolio to deliver a complete set of options for every customer need.”
The announcement follows JLR’s statement last month that North America – particularly the US – will become a priority market as the company pursues double-digit revenue growth over the medium term and broadens the range of propulsion types across its models.
