Malaysia’s second national car-maker, 49.9%-owned by China’s Geely Geely Automobile Holdings, said the new network “reaffirms its commitment to delivering a more seamless, premium and customer-centric EV ownership experience.”
Proton pointed out that the new e.MAS showrooms “embody the brand’s latest retail concept, creating a consistent customer experience while supporting Proton e.MAS’s continued growth as Malaysia’s No. 1 xEV brand.”
The new dedicated showrooms expand the number of e.MAS sales outlets in the country to 58, supported by 45 service centres and 10 ‘Body & Paint’ centres, “ensuring that customers have access to comprehensive sales and aftersales support wherever they are.”
Proton dominates the country’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) segment with 14,867 sales in the first half of 2026, compared with 8,890 units in the whole of 2025, including 10,793 e.Mas 5 models based Geely’s Xingyuan model. The larger e.MAS 7 model accounted for 4,074 units. Earlier this year, Proton expanded its e.MAS range with the launch of a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant of its e.MAS 7 model.
