Robert Bosch’s sale of the Blaupunkt Auto Radio brand will not affects jobs at its plant in Braga, northwestern Portugal, plant labour union executive Amelia Lopes said.

According to ADP News, Lopes cited Bosch management as saying output at the plant would be extended to new products, keeping the current 1,700 jobs.

Bosch plans to transfer to Braga production of other electronic components for household appliances and renewable energy systems.

Bosch sold Blaupunkt to German investment company Aurelios. The report added that the Braga factory is now operating as Bosch Car Multimedia.
