Fiat SpA said it is suspending production for five days at its Polish factories because of a fall in sales, news agency PAP reported.

The Bielsko-Biala and Tychy plants are affected, Fiat spokeswoman Katarzyna Wajda was quoted as saying.

The announcement comes only ten days after Fiat said it would cut 700 more jobs in Poland, on top of the 580 laid off earlier this year.
