Gernot Doellner will succeed Markus Duesmann as Audi management board chairman on 1 September, 2023 after approval by the supervisory board.

“I would like to thank Duesmann for all the important work he has done during his tenure,” said supervisory board chairman Manfred Doess.

Doellner has a degree in mechanical engineering and joined Volkswagen as a Ph.D. candidate in 1993 and subsequently served in a number of management roles at Porsche including as head of Concept Development and head of the Panamera series.

Since 2021, he has overseen the group product and group strategy plus the general secretariat.
