The in house developed ninth generation operating system 9 is based on an Android Open Source Project (AOSP) software stack customised for the brand and “optimised for touch control”.
Eight so called ‘experience modes’ use light, control design, drive settings, and sound, an evolution of earlier models’ combination digital/analogue displays.
An optional light projector adds colours and patterns matching the drive mode to the dashboard.
Electric versions have new interior driving sounds, experience mode jingles and sound signals for information and warnings.
Activated by “Hey Mini,” a new intelligent personal assistant controls functions, makes travel related requests and can distinguish between the driver and front passenger.
