Japanese owned auto-maker Nissan Mexicana registered record-high Mexican sales – for the month of September – totalling 14,694 units, with August sales reaching 15,462, says El Financiero/Infolatina (17/10/00).
According to local reports, accumulated sales for January-September 2000 were 121,289 units, accounting for 20.5 per cent of total new vehicle sales for this period within Mexico.
In terms of local market share, these figures place Nissan in second place behind General Motors of Mexico, say local media.
