GM de Mexico was again the top-selling vehicle distributor in Mexico during
August, according to a Excelsor/SABI report relayed by Contex and Newsedge Corporation
this week.

GM sold 137,673 vehicles in Mexico in the first eight months of 2001 and, the
report said, plans “significant launches before the end of the year to
retain its top spot”.

Scheduled launches include the new Chevrolet (Opel) Corsa hatchback and Zafira
minivan plus the U.S. designed TrailBlazer and Avalanche SUVs, the report added.
