Logistics UK says its Van Operational Briefings 2021 will now be free to attend, to ensure as many operators as possible have access to information.

The briefings will provide information on compliance and operating standards and will share insights into driver welfare, alternative fuels, navigating changed road space and operators’ obligations regarding vehicle safety defects and recalls.

Taking place at venues in Manchester on 14 September and Beaconsfield on 16 September, the briefings are sponsored by Logistics UK’s Van Gold Partners: the AA, Bott, Brigade Electronics Hertz, Lex Autolease, Quartix and TVL.

“Vans are integral to the UK economy and even more so since the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Logistics UK Public Policy manager, Denise Beedell.

“They are a key part of everyday life, from delivery services to utility services and whether you are a professional delivery driver or use the vehicle to transport the tools of your trade, it is essential you are operating the vehicle in a compliant manner, in accordance with good practice.

“Logistics UK is keen to ensure as many operators as possible are able to attend these vital briefings and making these free to attend is the best way of allowing that.”
