Lectra has unveiled its new Versalis LeatherSuite V6 machine for automated leather cutting, which it maintains can enable automotive suppliers to increase productivity from 8% to 15%.
A new software suite embeds cutting algorithm addressing latest challenges faced by furniture and automotive customers.
“With this release, Lectra marks a milestone in terms of customer experience and productivity,” said Lectra chief marketing officer, Céline Choussy Bedouet.
“Versalis LeatherSuite V6 is the technology enabler that allows producers of cut leather parts to leverage maximum performance from the Versalis cutting room solution.”
Lectra says it is the world leader in integrated technology solutions (software, automated cutting equipment and associated services) specifically designed for industries using fabrics, leather, technical textiles and composite materials to manufacture their products.
It serves major world markets: fashion and apparel, automotive and furniture as well as a broad array of other industries.
Lectra registered revenues of US$288m last year.
