AUTO COUNTRY REPORTS
3. Singapore Autos Report Q3 2012
A decline in the premiums paid during the latest round of bidding for certificates of entitlement (COEs) to buy vehicles has prompted a slight upward revision in BMI’s sales forecast for passenger cars. Although they still expect both categories (below and above 1,600cc) to end 2012 down on previous years, they believe the contraction will not be as pronounced as previously forecast as prices fall and measures are sought to better manage COE supplies. The report expands on this.

4. Czech Republic Autos Report Q3 2012
BMI’s medium to long term outlook for Czech production envisages less than 6% y-o-y growth on average between 2012 and 2016, after a 7% y-o-y increase in the preceding five years. Much of this growth will be led by the production plans of Skoda Auto and Hyundai Motor, which are benefiting from growing popularity in Europe and key emerging markets such as China and India.
