Toyota new car sales in China dropped 22.1% year on year in November to 63,800, narrowing the margin of fall from 44.1% in October as volume gradually recovers from the fallout of anti-Japanese protests in China.
Separately, Kyodo News reported, Mazda said new car sales in the country fell 29.7% last month to 12,187, improving from a 45% fall the previous month.
Year to date, Toyota’s sales in China slid 3.3% to 749,600, making it unlikely the company will achieve its target of selling 1m cars in China this year.
