Mazda Motor Corp. on Thursday reported to the Transport Ministry that it is recalling four faulty models, including the Capella passenger car, for free repair.
Some of the cars may have defects in a part which adjusts the tension of the engine’s belt, a fault which could cause a car engine to seize, the report said.

In addition to the Capella, subject to the recall are Mazda’s Capella Wagon, and the Ford Telstar and Telstar Wagon produced by Mazda.

The recall affects a total 30,899 cars, produced between June 1997 and June 1998.
