Controls has opened an Asian Design Centre in Ayase City, Kanagawa, Japan.

The design centre, which has product concept, prototype and modeling capabilities,
is located within the Asian Technical Centre which became part of the company
through the acquisition of Ikeda Bussan Company last year.

In a statement, Johnson Controls said the opening of the centre would let staff
work more closely with Japanese customers which include Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi,
