Climate control and cooling system supplier Denso has decided to limit facility
investment and employment in North America, according to Japanese Automobile News.
The move is in response to a 9 percent decrease in production at DaimlerChrysler
between January and November this year and Denso expects further cuts next year.
DaimlerChrysler, with a 6.5% share, is Denso’s third largest customer after
Toyota (49%) and Honda (7%) and Denso earns about 30 percent of its consolidated
operating profit in North America.
