Olivier Francois is to assume responsibility for the Fiat marque in the Italian market, replacing Enzo Gioachin who takes on other responsibilities at truck unit Iveco.
Reuters said Francois, who joined Fiat from PSA Peugeot Citroen in September, has headed Lancia, Fiat’s fastest-growing car brand, since a management reshuffle in September.
Fiat brand sales in Italy rose 10.5% in October from a year ago, just a month after the launch of the new Punto Grande model in mid-September, while Lancia sales fell 7.3%, Reuters said, citing data released by the transport ministry on Wednesday.
Fiat sportscar unit Ferrari said earlier it had hired Donato Coco from PSA Peugeot Citroen as its new design chief, the report added.
