Fiat has
strengthened its internet business by announcing that it will invest 251 million
euros ($US234 million) in e-commerce and e-business in the next three years, reports
europemedia.net.
"We’re building the next ‘e-Fiat’," the website quoted Paolo Fresco,
Fiat’s Italian group chairman as saying.
"E-business is an epoch-making revolution. The internet is the dimension
where each company will have to move to be competitive and flourish in the age
of the digital economy."
The Fiat group sells about 900 cars a month through its website launched last
year, buy@fiat.com.
