Marco Mattiacci has been appointed China-based president and CEO of Ferrari’s Asia Pacific region, which includes the fastest growing markets for the legendary supercar maker as well as Australia and New Zealand, in an appointment confirmed by Ferrari CEO Jean Todt.
Mattiacci, originally from Rome, has spent most of his 37 years abroad, and is one of Ferrari’s youngest senior managers. After joining Ferrari in 1999, he worked in senior roles in key markets that are central to Ferrari’s success. Prior to his China-based Asia Pacific region posting, he was vice president sales, marketing and business development in the US.
Posted to Shanghai at the end of 2006, Mattiacci, after having successfully completing the launch phase of the new Asia Pacific headquarters, is taking over the position of outgoing Mario Micheli, assuming the leadership of the entire region – Ferrari APAC – which includes responsibility for the Chinese importer.
