Indonesia and South Korea agreed Tuesday (28/11/00) to create a joint task force
to work towards normalising operations at Kia-Timor Motor, report Asian news sources.
Citing Han Duck-Soo – South Korean Minister for Trade – Auto-Asia online reports
that agreement was reached at a meeting between Presidents Kim Dae-Jung and Abdurrahman
Wahid.
South Korea’s Kia Motors has invested $US30 million in the Kia-Timor Motor joint
venture, according to the report.
