Tata Motors said domestic sales fell 13% in March from a year earlier, but rose 24% over February as stimulus measures kicked in.


It sold 52,686 vehicles in March in India, compared with 42,493 in February, while total sales including exports were 54,485 units, up from 43,807 in February, it told Reuters.


Commercial vehicles sales fell 19% from a year ago to 29,006 units, while cars and utility vehicle sales fell 4% to 23,680 units.


Exports slumped 69% from a year earlier to 1,799 units.
