BMW-owned Rolls-Royce wants to sell over 100 vehicles a year in India and is planning to offer its premium models to hotels and resorts in the country.
CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes said: “India is an important market. It is definitely not the biggest market but I think the market in general has the potential to grow in the next couple of years. Let us wait and see how that develops in future. My hope is that we also see a three digits number in India. The potential is there.”
On the potential of the Indian hospitality sector, he said: “There are very high-end, prestigious luxury resorts around where we might even need to convince them or at least offer them something in that direction of being a fleet for their hotels. Why not?”
The carmaker expects to launch the new Dawn convertible in India by April 2016, ET Auto.com reported citing PTI.
