Maruti Suzuki boosted net profit 20.7% to INR7,623m in the first quarter of fiscal 2014/15.
The automaker cited cost reduction, more locally made parts, volume growth and favourable foreign exchange for the rise.
Unit sales rose 12.6% to 299,894 during the quarter. Sales in India rose 10.3% to 270,643 while exports were up 38.7% to 29,251.
Revenue was up 10.8% to INR110,735m.
