BMW India plans to launch 15 vehicles and increase localisation in 2015.

The new models include the X6M, X5M, M6 Coupe and M6 Gran Coupe.

Citing CarDekho, Business Standard said the company had increased the number of local parts suppliers to eight from two.

BMW Group India president Phillip von Sahr said: “We have been focusing on long term sustainable profitable growth in India. As we have a strong portfolio of locally produced cars, it is only appropriate that we increase our localisation levels by sourcing more components locally.”

“Localisation is good for us to [run] our business profitably that will allow us to invest in our marketing and brand promotion, better service and [dealers],” he added.
