Mercedes-Benz has stated building the CLA Shooting Brake (wagon) at its newest plant in Kecskemét, Hungary.
It’s the second CLA model line to be made exclsuively in the plant which also handles some B-class production.
Around 150,000 B-and CLA-class vehicles were produced in Kecskemét last year and 300,000 units have rolled off the line at the plant since it started production in 2012.
Daimler initially spent EUR800m on the plant and the tally is now over EUR1bn. Almost 4,000 people are now employed there.
