Hella will present its 77GHz radar sensors at next month’s IAA in Frankfurt, enabling 360° vehicle environment recognition in the push to fully autonomous driving and parking.
In addition to sensors, visitors can also experience camera software and functions for pedestrian detection, as well as Liquid Crystal HD technology, anticipated for market introduction in 2020.
In addition at the IAA, Hella will outline a particulate matter sensor with cloud-based air quality management, able to measure air quality in the vehicle interior and show a warning on the display in case of increasing pollutants.
The air filter is then activated and an alternative route is suggested in order to ensure fresh air supply.
Two months ago, Hella and ZF announced they would partner on sensor technology, particularly for front camera systems, imaging and radar systems.
ZF will strengthen its range as a systems supplier which offers autonomous driving functions, while Hella will drive technological development and benefits from broader market access for its technologies.
