German officials meeting to discuss help for General Motors European unit Opel on Friday won’t make any decisions today, a government spokesman has said.

“A meeting of officials is taking place in the chancellery. The meeting covers solely developing information. Decisions will not be made,” spokesman Ulrich Wilhelm said in a statement cited by Reuters.
