BMW group sales surged 15.1% to 150,285 units in June, setting a monthly sales record.
Chinese markets posted above-average growth of 63.2% to 5,925 units and Russia soared 77.8% to 1,502 vehicles delivered.
Even depressed old western Europe showed healthy two-digit growth (15.9%) with 90,310 cars delivered.
For the half year to June, group sales rose 4.6% to 730,285 units.
“In spite of a number of major model changes, we have already increased BMW group sales by around 5% in the first half year”, said sales and marketing chief Michael Ganal.
“Over the next few months, we want to continue to record double-digit growth. We are well on the way to increasing our sales for the whole of 2007 by a figure in the high single-digit range and setting new records for all three brands.”
