This is the first time the commercial vehicle subsidiary of Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group has produced its vehicles overseas, with assembly carried out by local contract assembler PT Handal Indonesia Motor at its plant in Purwakarta, in West Java province. The company also assembles passenger vehicles Chery Automobile, including its Jaecoo and Jetour brands, as well as vehicles for Xpeng and Farizon’s parent company, Geely.

Farizon officially entered the Indonesian market at the beginning of 2026 through its local distributor Arista Group, with the launch of the Farizon SV, priced at IDR 698 million (US$ 39,400). The V8E, priced at IDR 425 million, has a GVW of 3.5 tons and is powered by a 65 kWh battery pack, giving it a range of 430 km. A minibus version is also available priced at IDR 550 million.

Other Farizon models are expected to be added at the plant later.
