Carmakers have stopped cutting sales and output forecasts, a tier one parts supplier CEO has said.
The auto industry’s recovery nonetheless will be long and gradual, Yann Delabriere told newspaper Les Echos, according to Reuters.
Faurecia, majority-controlled by PSA Peugeot Citroen, recently faced protests from workers at its loss-making plant in Auchel who were angry at its planned closure. A strike ended after each was offered EUR3,000 compensation.
