Forvia, a French automotive technology supplier, has teamed up with Indian IT major Wipro to optimise its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) applications.
The project focused on optimising Forvia’s vehicle safety and comfort applications using Wipro Engineering Edge’s Cloud Car platform, which leverages microservices and a vehicle container architecture to improve functionality.
The centrepiece of the collaboration was Forvia’s surround-view technology, which integrates exterior camera feeds into a 3D perspective, aiding drivers in parking their vehicles safely and effortlessly.
The improvements also included transitioning Forvia’s ADAS applications to a cloud-native architecture, making them more hardware-independent and significantly reducing maintenance costs, Wipro said in its press release.
With this update, Forvia’s ADAS solutions are now seamlessly integrated into original equipment manufacturers’ (OEMs) value chains, offering enhanced scalability and long-term sustainability.
Wipro Southern Europe regional head and managing director, Graziella Neuveglise said: “We’re very pleased with the outcome of this work for Forvia.
