Faurecia’s acquisition of a controlling stake in stake in Hella, will see the combined Group known as Forvia, creating the seventh largest automotive supplier in the world.

The French manufacturer notes the name originates from the letters ‘for’ in forward and ‘via’ relating to mobility transition.

Faurecia and Hella will continue to operate as two independent legal companies.

This new name reflects core elements of our Faurecia and Hella brands, as well giving a good translation of our shared purpose; inspiring mobility,” said Faurecia CEO, Patrick Koller.
