Ford has launched a new ‘double cab’ four-door variant of its top-selling F-150 pickup called the SuperCrew. Based on the existing F-150 SuperCab model, the new version has four cab doors and a full-width rear seat. Standard and optional features include standard power adjustable pedals, a power moonroof, rear-seat entertainment system and a ‘bed extender’ which increases loadbox length for carrying longer items.
Ford’s 4.6L Triton V-8 is standard on the F-150 SuperCrew, delivering
240 horsepower and 290 lb.-ft. of torque. An optional 5.4L V8 puts out 260 horsepower
and 350 lb.-ft. of torque.
A four-speed automatic overdrive transmission is also standard.
Reflecting its status as the USA’s top-selling vehicle, the F-150 is manufactured
in four Ford plants: Kansas City, Missouri; Norfolk, Virginia, Oakville, Ontario
and Cuautitlan, Mexico.
