With local sales down, Brazilian vehicle exports increased last month according to ANFAVEA figures.

In September, Brazilian automakers exported 34,474 vehicles, a rise of 8.1 percent on August. In comparision with the same month of 2000, the Brazilian export increase was 13.8 percent.

Last month, the Brazilian automakers produced 137,263 vehicles – a fall of 11.9 percent on August. In comparison with September 2000, when the local automakers made 148,007 vehicles, the production decrease was 7.3 percent.
