Daimler's Mercedes-Benz delivered 190,021 vehicles in October, up 3.9% year on year.

Year to date sales inched up 0.3% to 1,905,108 units.

The automaker said sales continued to be affected by model changes and by delays with certification in some export markets.

Europe sales also grew 3.9% last month to 79,994 but fell 3.9% to 768,950 year to date.

German volume was up 16.7% to 29,203 for the month.

Asia-Pacific sales rose 7.9% to 72,429 and 8.1% to 787,027 YTD.

China October sales were up 9.2% to 50,231 with YTD volume up 12.7% to 550,938.

NAFTA region sales dipped 4% to 32,778 last month and YTD volume of 304,722 was off 5.8%.

US sales fell 4.9% to 27,537 cars and by 6.7% to 252,921 YTD.

Smart's October sales were up 3% to 11,202 but YTD volume was off 3.5% to 107,586.

Daimler said sales of electric Smart models set new records both in October and YTD.
