The Czech Republic’s government is looking to lure another carmaker into setting up a plant in the Czech Republic according to a Reuters report.

The country has already been successful in persuading Toyota and PSA to choose the Czech Republic as the location for their joint venture to make small cars. Now, another manufacturer may be biting.

Hyundai, ambitiously eyeing higher European sales via upcoming new model launches, could be a candidate.

The Czech Republic is relatively attractive as a manufacturing location to carmakers because of its low costs and the fact that the country is scheduled to enter the European Union around the middle of the decade.
