Sales of new road vehicles in Czech Republic grew 2.3% to 174,751 in 2001 from 170,785 in 2000, according to provisional results provided to just-auto.com by the Automotive Industry Association there.
Year-on-year, volumes increased: 28.8% for buses to 979 from 760; 2.3% for cars to 152,171 from 148,730; and 1.4% for commercial vehicles to 21,601 from 21,295.

In 2000 versus 1999, sales of new autos expanded 1.7% to 170,785 from 167,970. Rises tallied: 1.9% for commercial vehicles to 21,295 from 20,907; and 1.7% for cars to 148,730 from 146,257. Buses fell 5.7% to 760 from 806.
