Independent British light commercial vehicle maker LDV will launch its new Maxus chassis cab range at the commercial vehicle show in Birmingham this month.


The show will be the first attended by LDV’s new owners, GAZ International, and GAZ president Eric Eberhardson will join chairman (and ex-Fiat and Ford Europe executive) Martin Leach and chief executive Steve Young to launch the new models.


The chassis cab range, on sale later this year, will include tipper, drop-side, luton and box body styles – LDV will show a short wheelbase drop-side and a long wheelbase tipper at the show.


It will also introduce additional models for Maxus minibus range, displaying new 17-seat and 12-seat versions.


Two new ‘accessible’ minibuses (suitable for wheelchair users) have been developed by the in-house special vehicle operations (SVO) unit and will be displayed outside the main entrance to the National Exhibition Centre, venue for the show.
