Global motorsport brand Nova Motorsport has acquired Portugal’s national tyre manufacturer, Camac.

Nova specialises in premium competition and specialist tyres.

The acquisition of Camac signals a significant expansion in Nova Motorsport’s capability and reach within the specialist and motorsport tyre industry, it says.

It will further cement its exclusive role as global supplier of the majority of Avon Motorsport and Avon Racing products.

Based in Palmeira, Portugal, Camac has production capacity of over 500,000 tyres annually. The company has long been established as a key player in the specialist tyre market, including the highly competitive motorsport sector.

James Weekley, Nova Motorsport Commercial Director, said: “The acquisition of Camac represents a fundamental milestone in the execution of Nova Motorsport’s global business strategy.”
