BYD has recently delivered its first 18 metre, high floor pure electric bus to Bogota, Colombia for testing.
The bus was specially designed for the city’s Transmilenio BRT system and can carry up to 160 passengers.

It has an iron-phosphate battery, in-wheel motor drive and regenerative brakes, takes only 2.5 hours to fully recharge and has a range of about 280km.
BYD has now delivered pure electric vehicles to 150 cities in 36 countries.
