Plastics manufacturer, Röchling, says it has started production at its new plant in Kunshan, China, with an investment of around EUR10m (US$12.7m).
“China is a significant market for Röchling and remains a focus of our investment,” said Röchling Group president, Georg Duffner.
Röchling Automotive Kunshan acquired a 30,000 square metre site in the Kunshan Industrial Park last year, with construction of a new production facility, including a logistics and administration area, beginning in November, 2012.
“We are delighted to be able to begin with production in the new plant as planned,” said Röchling Automotive board member, Gerhard Neidinger.
Röchling Automotive increased the number of employees in Suzhou from 300 to 355 last year, and the number will increase further to around 370 staff this year.
