Ford sales in China totaled fell 13.6% to 121,393 vehicles in the first quarter of 2012 on weaker sales of passenger cars.
Sales by Ford and its joint ventures fell 10.6% in March to 49,439 vehicles, the company told Dow Jones Newswires.
The Changan Ford Mazda Automobile passenger JV sold 27,374 Ford-branded vehicles in March, a decrease of 17.3%. Sales at commercial vehicle venture Jiangling Motors rose 0.5% last month to 22,005 vehicles.
