FAW says it has adjusted its new energy vehicle development strategy to accelerate the production of hybrid vehicles.


FAW plans to produce 120 hybrid buses this year, which will expand further to 2,400 units by 2012.


It also plans to produce 20 hybrid cars this year and 1,600 units in 2012.


By 2012, a hybrid car production base with annual capacity of 11,000 units will be built, it says.
