Delphi Automotive Systems is set to step into China’s after-sales service market
for automobiles, writes Xinhua News Service (7/12/00).
A Delphi said that the company will provide a full line of products, including
power generators, air conditioning systems and storage batteries.

Although Delphi has 15 enterprises in China, which include joint- and solely-funded
ventures which are mainly concerned with supplying products to the country’s
major automobile producers, the company has yet to enter the after-sales market
until now.
China is one of fastest growing automotive markets in the world, the official
said. He’s confident that Delphi will take a share of the after-sales market.
According to industry insiders, Delphi’s decision will put pressure on Chinese
enterprises in the market and will have an impact on the country’s automotive
manufacturing and after-sales market.
