Beijing Automotive Industry wants to buy non-core assets from Delphi, according to a Chinese report.

The 21th Century Business Herald, citing unnamed sources, said on Wednesday a government-backed consortium, whose members include Beijing Auto and several private sector parts suppliers, were in talks with Delphi to buy its assets, including brake system and suspension businesses, Reuters reported, noting that there no details of the size of any potential deal were given.

Delphi, still in bankruptcy protection after filing in 2005, had previously suggested it would offload some non-core assets.
