China’s Chery Automobile said it exported 50,130 vehicles in the first half of 2015, more than 25% of all Chinese vehicle exports in that period.

China’s leading vehicle exporter said it has lifted its share of the Iranian market to 5% and increased its sales in Argentina by 44% so far this year.

As its domestic market continues to weaken, Chery aims to continue its overseas expansion by targeting developing markets in South America, Eastern Europe, Western Asia and North Africa.

It also hopes to produce 10,000 cars at its newly commissioned assembly plant in Brazil.
