Chery Automobile exported 17,412 vehicles in April, a high for the year so far and up 39% over same month last year.
The China Daily newspaper noted that Chery’s projected exports of 20,000 units for this month will be a historic high for the carmaker if the target is met.
Chery has announced a 2012 overseas sales goal of 171,000 units.
