The L4 EV is described as a compact, city-friendly crossover designed for modern urban lifestyles, offering agility, comfort and everyday practicality. The brand is planning to launch in the UK later this year with the larger L6 and L8 models.

At the Beijing show, Lepas will also outline its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) strategy, underpinned by Chery Group’s global R&D capabilities and the dedicated LEX intelligent New Energy Platform. The brand is targeting multiple segments, from compact models to mid- and large-size vehicles, as it builds a global line-up.

The debut comes as the global new energy vehicle (NEV) market continues to evolve, with increasing emphasis on user experience, design quality and brand identity. Lepas says it has been created in response to this shift, ‘placing elegance at the centre of its vision for future mobility’.

Lepas says the L4 EV is designed for ‘lightweight urban use and that it will offer a balance of agility, practicality and refined driving characteristics’. It says the design reflects Lepas ‘Leopard Aesthetics” philosophy, with sculpted surfaces, distinctive lighting and a confident, composed stance.

Inside, the L4 EV will integrate intelligent in-car technologies designed to enhance convenience and connectivity, ‘supporting the needs of modern urban lifestyles’.

Lepas has confirmed that in the UK it will introduce three SUVs over the next 12 months, starting with the flagship L8 in the third quarter of the year, followed by the L6 and the L4.
