BYD has unveiled its new electric SUV, the Denza N7, in Beijing.

The model comes in six versions and has a starting price of 301,800 yuan (US$41,680).

BYD said pre-orders had exceeded 20,000 units since April, Bloomberg reported.

The EV would initially be sold in China but no information regarding global sales had been announced.

The unveiling followed the launch of the U8 SUV, under the company’s Yangwang brand, and the Fang Cheng Bao range earlier this year.

Morgan Stanley analysts told Bloomberg BYD expected monthly sales of the N7 to reach between 5,000 and 10,000 by the end of 2023.
