BYD has opened its 100th dealership in Brazil, in partnership with BYD DVA.

BYD DVA is the fifth largest group of the brand in the country in terms of sales numbers.

Tyler Li, president of BYD in Brazil said: “It is great to see our solid trajectory in Brazil with the inauguration of the hundredth dealership in the country. It is a very significant moment for BYD, as it reflects the growing acceptance of electrification in Brazil.”

Founded in 1972, the DVA group has a significant presence in the automotive market of the state of Santa Catarina and represents many global brands focused on the premium segment.

The group’s first BYD dealership was inaugurated in October 2022 in the city of Itajaí. In November of the same year, the group opened its second BYD store in São José, in the greater Florianópolis area.

Paulo Toniolo Jr, DVA director said: “The DVA Group is happy to be part of the success that BYD represents.”

It plans to open 6 more units, totalling 9 DVA-BYD dealerships by the end of the year, bringing the brand closer to Santa Catarina consumers and expanding the DVA Group’s business in Santa Catarina.

BYD’s goal in Brazil is to reach 250 dealerships – including new stores and those in operation – by the end of the year.

Currently, BYD’s network consists of 39 groups, 100 active dealerships, and 135 designated ones.

Mr Li added: “We will continue to surprise the Brazilian market and bring many new developments in 2024. Our upcoming launches will exceed all expectations, with new concepts and BYD’s unique technology.”
