Bridgestone Retail Operations says it had a record year of performance in 2019, delivering sales and new store growth.

The business, which operates around 2,200 retail locations across the US through brand names, Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus and Wheel Works, expanded its footprint in 2019 by opening a total of 36 new American locations.

Combined, the 36 new locations allowed the company to take on 334 new BSRO employees.

“We’re excited BSRO was able to add 36 new stores to our retail footprint in 2019, which helped bring new jobs to these areas, as well as serve more customers in the local community,” said Bridgestone Retail Operations VP of Stores, Marko Ibrahim.

“We hope to continue the success we had in 2019 this year as we work toward our goal of being the most trusted provider of tyre and automotive service in every neighbourhood we serve.”

BSRO is scheduled to continue its new store growth in 2020 with plans to open around 50 new locations this year, 20 of which are slated before the end of March.
